CHONGYANG

The Chongyang Festival, also known as the Double Ninth Festival, is held on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month.

In 2020, the Chongyang Festival will take place on Sunday 25th October.

The Chongyang Festival is also known as the Senior Citizens’ Festival. This year we are inviting you to join children in China to celebrate Seniors Day by:

  • Sharing your memories and stories of times spent with your grandparents or other elderly members of the community around you
  • Make an Elders Day card
  • Make a phone call to elders in your family and community
  • Share your thoughts and actions of what you can do to dedicate your love and care to elders
